Full time Project Officer

SCHADS Community Worker Level 5.1

We are currently recruiting for a new full time Project Officer who will build capacity in consumer and community engagement and strengthen relationships with health organisations. The project officer will be working in our newly created self-managed project team. We need them to have:

  • Excellent consumer and community engagement skills, and knowledge of health literacy, ideally with a lived experience of consumer representation/advocacy or supporting consumer engagement within health services.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and networks, and maintain strong partnerships with consumers and staff in health organisations in a person centred way, including with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience providing credible strategic engagement advice and delivering training to consumers and health professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, write, plan, organise and facilitate standalone projects and engagement activities.
  • Work related personal qualities, behaviours and skills to support the impact of our self-managing team.
