Paediatric Persistent Pain Service Support Working Group

Queensland Health’s Healthcare Improvement Unit is recruiting for a consumer representative for the Paediatric Persistent Pain Service Support Working Group.

In addition to a consumer representative, the working group consists of multidisciplinary Clinicians, who regularly meet to resolve issues, establish priorities with the aim of improving paediatric pain services across the state. This working group reports directly to the Statewide Steering committee of the Persistent Pain Management Clinical Network.

  • It’s preferred that the applicant has experience as the parent or carer of a child with persistent (chronic) pain.
  • Meetings are monthly, and take place at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, for one hour between 1pm and 2pm. The next meeting is scheduled for 4 October 2017.
  • This position will be remunerated at the rate of $187 per meeting, which covers pre-reading and travel time.
