Closing date: Thursday, 13 April 2023
Health Consumers Queensland has an opportunity for eight consumers to host a Kitchen Table Discussion within their local community to empower community members to share their healthcare needs in the following geographical areas:
- Far North – Yarrabah, Ravenshoe, Mount Garnet, Tully, Mossman, Mareeba
- North-North West – Mt Isa, Bowen, Doomadgee, Charters Towers, Mornington Island
- Central-Central West – Kilkivan, Boulia, Gympie, Theodore/Taroom & Mt Morgan
- South-South West – Kingaroy, Charleville, Cherbourg, St George & Thargomindah
We’ve been contracted by CheckUP to undertake consultation with Queenslanders to inform their future services within their priority geographic areas. CheckUP is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to better health for people and communities who need it most. They work in partnership with organisations and healthcare providers to create healthier communities and reduce health inequities across Queensland.
You may not know that you have used the services of CheckUP when accessing health care as they work behind the scenes to ensure you can access the services you need – kind of like a silent partner in a business.
Hosts will be paid $374.00 for hosting an in-person yarning circle at a venue of your choice plus up to $100 in catering reimbursement. Participants will each be given a $60 visa card for their time.
