Queensland Health has recently launched the Queensland Health Workforce Strategy 2032. Queensland Health faces challenges in an evolving health sector and rapidly changing world, so this strategy will keep our workforce available, effective, and supported into the future.
Join the conversation about the long-term vision and share your lived experiences and consumer perspective to shape the future health workforce for Queensland.
The Workforce Strategy Branch leads system-wide workforce strategy for Queensland Health to support the sustainability and capability of the health workforce. It is offering one consumer and/or carer representative the opportunity to join the Queensland Health Strategic Workforce Advisory Group.
The Strategic Workforce Advisory Group (SWAG) is a sub-committee to the System Workforce Strategy and Management (SWSM) Committee. The purpose of the SWAG will be to:
- Provide advice and guidance to the SWSM Committee on issues affecting the Queensland Health workforce.
- Offer strategies to respond to systemwide workforce priorities in the short, medium, and long term.
- Provide leadership and oversight in the development of workforce plans and initiatives across Queensland Health.
- Provide an escalation pathway for system-wide workforce challenges and strategies to be considered by senior leaders within Queensland Health.
