If you have at least 6 months’ committee experience, a good understanding of the health system, and an understanding of health needs assessments, we invite you to apply for the consumer representative position on the Joint Needs Assessment Working Group.

The Joint Needs Assessment Working Group (JNAWG) has been established under the Queensland – Commonwealth Partnership to develop a joint needs assessment framework that will enable a single local health needs assessment for:

    • Hospital and Health Services
    • Primary Health Networks
    • Qld Health’s Mental Health and Other Drugs Branch
    • Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Organisations

The Queensland – Commonwealth Partnership has identified three priority areas

  1. Data and Joint Planning
  2. Strengthening Primary and Community Care
  3. Building a Governance Framework

The JNAWG has a focus on the Data and Joint Planning area.
