2026 ANNUAL FORUM PREVENTATIVE HEALTH VILLAGE
NEW AT THE FORUM IN 2026
The primary prevention priority for health care in Queensland is reducing the burden of preventable chronic diseases, with a strong focus on key modifiable behaviours and risk factors that significantly contribute to the burden of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
As a consumer-centred organisation Health Consumers Queensland will host a Preventative Health Village at the 2026 Annual Forum, provided to empower Queensland consumers to be proactive in managing their health and wellbeing with an introduction to essential preventative health services and information.
Forum participants will be able to register for brief health check assessments provided by registered health professionals to identify risk factors for heart health and diabetes, overall physical and nutritional wellbeing, interpret the results and recommend next steps to inspire healthy change.
This initiative aims to:
- create an interactive and inclusive environment that encourages consumers to be proactive and informed about preventative measures regarding their personal health
- enhance health literacy by offering information and resources to improve understanding of and engagement in behaviours for disease prevention
- raise awareness of access to preventative health screenings as a step towards simple preventative health measures
If your organisation would like to promote your services to delegates at the event, please contact us by email at info@hcq.org.au with subject line Exhibition Enquiry to ask us about display and sponsorship opportunities.
