Training for Qld Health staff

The first three modules of our new on-demand training for health staff are now available online.  The training is designed to support staff in building successful and sustainable partnerships with consumers. Each module is self-paced can be completed at any time, offering flexibility to busy staff. Modules now available are:

Staff Foundations of Consumer Partnerships

  • The basics of the why and how of partnering
  • Approximately 2 hours to complete

Recruiting Consumers

  • A breakdown of key considerations for health staff when recruiting consumers, including how to create an effective EOI for consumer positions
  • Approximately 1 hour to complete

Active Listening

  • Seven skills in active listening to improve communication in partnership activities
  • Microlearning – 10 minutes to complete

Queensland Health Artificial Intelligence Plan Project Steering Committee

The System Planning Branch (SPB) within the Department of Health is providing two health consumer representatives with the opportunity to participate in the project steering committee for the development of an artificial intelligence plan.

Statewide Robotics Plan Steering Committee

The Department of Health’s System Planning Branch is seeking two health consumer representatives to join Queensland’s robotics plan steering committee. This team aims to boost robotics use in healthcare across the state and welcomes applicants with experience in robotics or digital health, especially encouraging diversity and applicants from regional areas.
